MISSION-DRIVEN
BUILDER
Hello. I’m Misha.
I've spent my 20+ year career building, leading, and governing mission-driven organizations through startup, scale, and the moments that test them.
Misha Charles-Mguni
I lead organizations through growth, transition, and complexity, building the people, systems, and governance that let missions survive and scale in service of the communities they exist to serve.
— EXECUTIVE & CHANGEMAKERI help leaders and boards navigate inflection points: clarifying direction, building capacity, and translating vision into structures that hold and remain accountable to community.
— strategist & adviserI'm drawn to the blank page, to finding the gap nobody has filled and building the thing that belongs there, whether inside an organization or from scratch.
— Designer & BuilderAcross sectors and roles, I keep finding my way back to one question: what helps communities shape their own future?
That question always surfaces three answers, and they organize my work and volunteerism.

Mission-driven organizations anchor communities when they are well-led, well-governed, and well-resourced.
They are not just a means to an end. When they are effective, the organization itself becomes an expression of the mission and a stabilizing force in the community.

I believe business can be a force for good when it creates value responsibly, expands ownership, and remains accountable to the people and places it affects.
With community-rooted founders at the helm, business can go even further, connecting real problems with innovative solutions that push communities forward.

I believe the health of a community is shaped by its environment: the air we breathe, the water we touch, the land that feeds us, and the outdoor spaces where we play, gather, and wander.
What is outside should not harm us. It should bring joy, health, movement, and awe.
